Hey kids!
So Lyon was amazing!!
So a few weeks ago I went to Lyon and during December 5-8th, they hold an annual Festival of Lights. ( Fête des Lumières) There are light installations outdoors all over town, and at night the whole city lights up. You can find crazy projections on buildings, light shows at the central park, and even some weird lights on statues.
Since it´s also close to Christmas, theres also an outdoor market with cute little stands. They sell Christmas ornaments, crêpes, jewelery, hot cider, and lots of yummy breads-- zucchini type breads, only bigger.
Lauren was a wonderful host/tour guide, and it was about time I saw her. We explored pratically the whole city of Lyon, and also visited the nearby city of Vienne.
The city park was my absolute favorite for three reasons:
1. There is a free zoo in the middle of the park!!
2. There is a big lake with row boats! (...im kinda obsessed with row boats)
3. The light show in the park was awesome/kinda scary.
So heres a summary of what happened, via pictures:
Next up, ill let you know how Paris went.
In the meantime, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas/Holiday Season and a very happy New Years!!
Hugs and kisses to you all!<3
